Here’s what to expect when you rent surf gear in the Pacific Northwest—from pricing and returns to all the little extras that make your session smooth and stoke-filled.
🌊 What’s Included in Your Surf Rental
Every rental from Rough Bar includes more than just gear—it’s a full experience designed to keep things easy, clean, and fun.
Surfboards –
8' Soft-top: $20/day
9' Longboard: $30/day
Bodyboards – $15/day
Stand-Up Paddle Boards (SUPs) – $35/day
Wetsuits (Youth & Adult) – $20/day
Hood included with all wetsuit rentals
Boots & Gloves available: $5 each
Changing Mat Included – Every wetsuit rental comes with a mat to stand on while you change, helping contain sand and keep your car a little cleaner during transport.
Soft Roof Racks – Limited availability—ask if you need one for board transport.
🧼 Full-Service Return Policy
You don’t need to worry about rinsing or cleaning your wetsuit—we handle all the cleanup for you. When you’re done, just bring your gear back and check in with a crew member. We’ll take it from there. That way, you can stay stoked post-surf without scrubbing a thing.
🕐 Rental Duration & Return Details
Rentals are for the full day, and must be returned 30 minutes before closing.
Overnight rentals available by request.
Late returns incur a 50% per item late fee, or an additional day charge if returned after closing.
🧍♂️ Gear Fitting & Support
We’ve got a dedicated space to try on wetsuits, ensuring you get the right fit before you head out. Need help strapping your board to the car? We’ve got you—we’ll assist with securing it and walk you through how to remove and reload it safely when you're at the beach.
